  1. Great episode! I completely share your sense of scorn for Nick Nolte’s character and I love Jessica Lange’s performance, particularly the moment after their big blow-out argument, when Nolte confesses his fear about their situation and you can see her character getting a tiny bit of satisfaction that something has come along to knock him off his high horse.

Anyway, I wanted to hazard a guess on Tonya’s recollection of a sex scene on a rollercoaster in the movie. I wonder if she might be thinking of a different stalker thriller, Fear, with Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon. I seem to remember that movie has a love scene on a rollercoaster.

    Anyway, great podcast as ever!

    1. She WAS totally thinking about Fear! After editing the episode, I randomly ran across an article that had a title something like “5 Weirdest Fingerbang Scenes in Movies” — I mean, how could I not click on that title? — and Fear was totally one of the clips. So I sent it to Tonya, and she was overjoyed that the riddle was solved!
